All of our creations begin as a sketch by William Brand, the founder and sole designer behind the atelier, and are then brought to life in our workshop, exclusively by hand.

This means we are not bound by standard sizes, formats or finishes, and each of our collections can serve as a starting point for a customised lighting sculpture.

Catalogue collections can be customised by adjusting size or finish to perfectly match your space — a chandelier can be scaled to fit a double-height space; a finish can be matched to metalwork, furniture or architectural details.

Multiple elements from one of our collections can be arranged into tailor-made compositions. Linear cascades over a bar, cloud-like clusters in a lobby, or vertical compositions in a stairwell — our team designs the arrangement in dialogue with your interior and offers full support with installation.

We also invite you to work hand-in-hand with William Brand to create a special, one-of-a-kind design. These unique objects can respond to a specific narrative or architectural gesture, shaping the atmosphere, experience, and identity of the interior.

Customisation process — step by step

Whether we work together to adapt an existing collection or create an entirely new design, the co-creation process is always structured and transparent.

We begin by listening. To your ideas, your space, your story. Together, we explore the role of light in your interior, both technical and emotional. From that moment on, the process becomes a co-creation, with our atelier guiding and supporting you at every step.

In the concept phase, intuition and experience meet on paper. Based on our conversations, William Brand and the studio team develop an initial concept. This may include sketches, mood impressions or complete visualisations that show how the lighting sculpture will live in your interior. We refine the idea with you until the direction feels clear and aligned.

With the overall direction in place, we focus on the details. Dimensions, materials, finishes, light sources and suspension details are defined, and the sculpture is developed into technical drawings and specifications. Where needed, we coordinate with your architect, interior designer or contractor to ensure a seamless fit within the space.

This is where the design comes to life. As the project leaves the drawing board and enters the workshop, skilled hands begin translating lines and measurements into a lighting object. Combining traditional metal and glass-working techniques with modern know-how, we perfect your lighting sculpture into an art piece with generational value.

Now, the focus shifts to your space. The lighting sculpture is packed, shipped and accompanied by detailed instructions to ensure smooth and easy installation. If needed, our specialists can assist so that the final result matches the intention down to the smallest detail.

Concept
