In the heart of Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canal district, Rosewood Hotel Amsterdam stands as a new cultural landmark — a place where history, contemporary luxury, and Dutch design converge. Housed within the former 17th-century Palace of Justice, the building has been carefully reimagined by Studio Piet Boon, whose layered, restrained approach honours the past while embracing the rhythm of present-day Amsterdam.
Our atelier’s contribution to this project continues a long-standing creative dialogue with Studio Piet Boon — a collaboration rooted in shared values of craftsmanship, material integrity, and timeless design. Within Rosewood’s refined hospitality vision, light is approached as an architectural element rather than a decorative addition, shaping atmosphere and supporting the emotional experience of the space.
Art lies at the heart of the Rosewood philosophy, with nearly a thousand curated works woven throughout the hotel’s public and private spaces. Within this context — where architecture, memory, and contemporary creativity intersect — sculptural lighting becomes part of a broader cultural narrative rather than a decorative gesture.
In the Library Suite, our Victoria Oval Chandelier and matching Victoria Wall Lamps were conceived to resonate with the suite’s refined interior language. Executed in a warm Gold Satin finish, the lighting introduces a soft, dignified glow that complements the architectural detailing and the tactile richness of the space. Inspired by the optimism and refined elegance of the early twentieth century, the Victoria collection reveals light layer by layer through crystal and form — a quiet sensibility that finds a natural expression in the Library Suite at Rosewood Amsterdam.
